Welcome to our Design in Motion series of post, where we will be highlighting some spectacular designing videos over the internet. The idea is to showcase some design virtuosos online, showing off their skills in this age of mobile video and YouTube.
Calligraphy – A Dying Art or a Still-Relevant Technique?
Think you can carve out some of the biggest brand logo designs out there with nothing but a handful of calligraphic pens? One student of design shows us how we are only limited by our imagination, making short work of the word impossible as they construct some of the famous logos in this era.
Human creativity paired up with excellent hand-eye coordination motor skills will definitely make you gasp at the brilliance you see unfolding before you. You won’t believe it, as you see your favorite type-centric brand logos recreated just with a calligraphic pen. Complex logos such as those of Coca Cola, Adidas, Google, FedEx, Nike and ESPN are recreated by a handful of pen strokes. No tools, no tricks. Just ‘plain’ old human mind going about its business creating some iconic logos faithfully..
They say seeing is believing. Fair enough, as the following video will show you. So let’s sit back and let us take a look at this spectacular feat of human ingenuity and imagination unfold before us.
